San Marcos To Host Blood Drive For Disaster Victims

If We Are Blood can build a surplus of blood, they’ll also be able to send some to our neighbors on the coast.

We Are Blood, the sole provider of blood to Central Texas Hospitals, has an ongoing and growing need for blood donations.

Many patients form coastal areas have been transported into hospitals in our 10-county region. We Are Blood is working hard to make sure Central Texas hospitals have access to the blood they need.

If it’s safe for residents to reach one of the donor centers or mobile drives this week, consider coming in to donate. The need is anticipated to continue through the coming days, so if residents are unable to donate today, help will be needed all week. If We Are Blood can build a surplus of blood, they’ll also be able to send some to our neighbors on the coast.

The City of San Marcos will be hosting a mobile blood drive this coming Wednesday, August 30, from 9am to 3pm at the Activities Center (501 E Hopkins). See additional info below.
