The Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) is scheduled to close the intersection of Uhland Rd. and Post Rd. on Sunday, Mar. 24, from 8 AM to 6 PM for a rail line replacement.
Traffic in the area will be detoured to Aquarena Springs Drive. Motorists are advised to avoid the intersection if possible while work is underway.
Work may extend to Monday, March 25, if the rail line replacement isn’t completed by the end of day Sunday.
The City of San Marcos Capital Improvements Project on Mill St. is still ongoing, with traffic control and lane closures to allow cars to travel eastbound on Uhland Rd. or northbound on Mill St. starting at Second St.
UPRR may complete work on a second rail line from Thursday, Mar. 28, through Friday, Mar. 29. The final decision about the additional work will be made on Monday, Mar. 25, and information will be relayed to the public at that time.
For additional information, contact UPRR at 405.200.4867 or the City of San Marcos at 512.393.8036.
