On Saturday evening, the SMCISD Bond Election was overwhelmingly a huge success for the district. With winning 74.65 percent of the vote, the San Marcos community voted for;
“THE ISSUANCE OF AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $107,300,000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATION, ACQUISITION, AND EQUIPMENT OF SCHOOL BUILDINGS IN THE DISTRICT, THE PURCHASE OF THE NECESSARY SITES THEREFOR, THE PURCHASE OF NEW BUSES AND OTHER NEW VEHICLES TO BE USED FOR STUDENT TRANSPORTATION AND THE LEVYING OF A TAX IN PAYMENT THEREOF.”
