Sierra Martin | Managing Editor

San Marcos Police responded to multiple calls related to a disturbance with one or more shots being fired on Faris Street just before noon. No injuries were reported.

Police were provided a description of a vehicle involved in that disturbance. According to a city official, police located that vehicle and, because the initial report indicated a firearm was involved, conducted a high-risk stop on East Hopkins Street near San Marcos City Hall.

One occupant from the vehicle was arrested and the scene has been cleared.

This is an ongoing investigation, Corridor News will provide updates as they become available.
