SMPD Seeks Suspect Who Threatened Capstone Cottages Resident With Gun

Staff Reports

The San Marcos Police Department seeks a suspect who entered an apartment at Capstone Cottages and threatened its occupant with a gun on Tuesday, April 30.

According to San Marcos Police, the male was approximately 6’2” or 6’3” tall wearing a long sleeve black shirt, black pants, black gloves and black mask covering his face and hair.

This is the second offense the San Marcos PD Criminal Investigation Division is investigating at the apartment complex.

Officers are still searching for the suspect in an Aggravated Sexual Assault/ Burglary of habitation, which occurred on April 24.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect in either cases is asked to contact SMPD by telephone at 512-753-2312 or by email at dcampbell@sanmarcostx.gov.

“SMPD reminds everyone that security of your residence starts at locking all doors and windows, both when you’re home and when away,” the department said. “Additional methods to prevent unauthorized access to your home include secondary locking mechanisms such as window rods which prevent the window from sliding open, or security chain locks on entry doors.”
