SMTX THE BUS runs on ultra-clean diesel and carpooling and public transit conserves our natural resources. CARTS and the City of San Marcos are using the hashtag #lovethefuture in partnering with Earth Day ATX, Capital Metro, Bike Austin, March for Science, Huston-Tillotson University and the many other organizations participating in Earth Day 2017. About SMTX the Bus
SMTX THE BUS boasts a spacious 29-seat interior and doubles as a mobile office with free Wi-Fi on each bus. SMTX THE BUS is free for Texas State University students, half-price for seniors, and persons with disabilities and elementary through high school students. It is $1 for a one-way ride, $2 for an all-day pass, and $30 for a monthly pass. Passes can be purchased at the bus station on S Guadalupe. SMTX THE BUS has extended hours its hours until 8 p.m.
