Sounds of San Marcos October Open Mic Night Date Announced

Sounds of San Marcos Open Mic Night is a monthly event intended to introduce and showcase local artists of all types to the San Marcos Community.

Local musicians will be featured during this month’s Sounds of San Marcos Open Mic Night Monday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. in Eddie Durham Park, 217 W. MLK Dr.

Local singer-songwriter Ashleigh Stone is MC of the free, two-hour event. The lineup features musicians Luke Dye, Christal Moore, Federico Serna, Horse and Bear, and Kevin B. Flowers, Jr. and comedian Chris Orta.

This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase many of the established and developing entertainers of San Marcos in a park named after our local famous jazz musician, Eddie Durham.

Those attending are welcome to bring blankets, snacks, and refreshments. Glass, alcohol, styrofoam, and smoking are prohibited per City of San Marcos park rules. For a complete list of park rules visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/parkrules.

Additional information can be found on the Sounds of San Marcos Open Mic Night event page on the SMTX Community Services Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/248971685464254/.
