Spirit Doll Workshop Series Coming To Price Center

San Marcos, TX – Local artists Earlene Graham and Cathy Sparks are teaming up to offer a 3-week afternoon workshop series focusing on making Spirit Dolls at the Price Center in March.

Participants will create a theme, choose materials and create their doll from materials provided at the workshop. Individual makers may also bring materials that hold meaning for them and their doll.

The cost is $60 for the three sessions, participation is limited, and pre-registration is required.

“We’re grateful to the many community artists who have helped bring creative workshops to the Center,” said Clay DeStefano, executive director. “Participants enjoy the short-term commitment along with the ability to learn a new creative skill and walk away with a finished product,” he added.

Opportunities to express and enrich oneself creatively abound at the Price Center through weekly dance classes, rotating art shows, creative workshops, one-off musical performances, seasonal theatrical productions, movie showings and more — thanks in part to grant funding from the San Marcos Arts Commission.

To register for the Spirit Doll Workshop series or for more information, please call the Price Center directly at 512-392-2900 or stop by 222 W. San Antonio St., downtown San Marcos, Mon. – Fri., 9 AM – 5 PM.
