Splash Coworking will hold their soft opening during this month’s Third Thursday Downtown Walkabout, Aug. 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Splash has been in the making for more than three years by creator and CEO Carina Boston Pinales, a San Marcos native. Her partner Pari Sandage, is a 20-year accounting and bookkeeping veteran.

Carina brings over half a decade of experience in working with start-ups, entrepreneurs and collaborative workspaces in innovative technology and in the social entrepreneur sector both regionally and nationally.

Splash has secured an advisory committee with members serving a two-year term. Members of the committee range from the San Marcos High School and Texas State University, from the local cultural and non-profit sector to the San Marcos homegrown realtor.

Parking is available at the former National Guard parking lot located between the San Marcos Public Library and the Dog Park, across from City Hall at 627 East Hopkins.

The Downtown Association will be providing free non-stop Electric Cab shuttles starting at 5:30 p.m. The shuttles will drop off visitors at the Historic Downtown Courthouse on the square.

A workshop will be held earlier in the day at 11 a.m., which is open to the public to learn more about the Electric Cabs. Lunch will also be provided. An open house from  6 p.m.- 9 p.m. will offer information and displays about the Electric Cabs during Third Thursday Walkabout at 326 North LBJ.

“Walkabout with the Splash team and jump into our headwaters with other entrepreneurs, freelancers, start-ups, creatives, and local businesses.”
