TRAFFIC ALERT: PARMER LANE TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE FOR ELECTRICAL WORK

WHAT:
FM 734 (Parmer Lane) will be closed periodically for electrical work
WHEN:                      
Four times between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18
WHERE:
Parmer Lane near Riata Vista Circle in west Austin, Travis County
 
Traffic on Parmer Lane will be periodically stopped on Feb. 18 to allow Austin Energy to pull electric wires across the highway. It is anticipated this roadblock to stop traffic will occur four separate times between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
 
Austin Police Department officers will be on the scene to assist with traffic control. After the lines are strung across the highway, traffic will resume and crews will complete the installation of the lines.
 
Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area during the affected hours. TxDOT asks drivers to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
