Traffic Update: Lanes Close Around San Marcos

ED JL GREEN: From Sessom St. to Laurel Ridge, maintenance will start on July 6 – 29, weather permitting, from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Please park your vehicle off the street or it may be towed at your own expense. City of San Marcos Streets Dept., 512.393.8025

 

IH-35/McCARTY LANE: A new street signal has been installed at the intersection of IH-35 and McCarty. Lights will be on flashing red setting by Wednesday, July 20 and in full operation by Tuesday, July 26. Please be aware of new signal. TxDOT, 512.353.1061

 

IH-35/YARRINGTON BRIDGE: Various main lane closures will occur  to begin the installation of underpass lighting on Yarrington Bridge on July 20 and 21 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. TxDOT, 737.600.3137

 

SESSOM DRIVE AT PEQUES STREET: City contractor will be working in the area to install underground electrical conduit. One lane of westbound Sessom will be closed daily and through the weekend for construction at Peques Drive. The intermittent closure is currently scheduled during working hours until August 12. LAUREL RD/CHARLES AUSTIN DR: Right lane west bound closure heading to the Charles Austin intersection to lay remaining asphalt will commence on July 20 – 26 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. TxDOT, 512.905.3097

 

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430

 

 

LONG TERM ROAD PROJECTS:

 

 

  • 817 CHESTNUT ST: One lane will be closed for new construction to site through end of July 2016. Street will continue to be passable to all traffic. J4 Development, 469.236.0922
