Truckload Of Relief Arrives In San Marcos

Yesterday morning a truckload of supplies from Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort arrived to support the cleanup efforts for San Marcos, Wimberley and the surrounding areas.  The University Church of Christ has opened a disaster relief center at the old Hays County Civic Center that will be open Monday thru Saturday, daily from 10 am – 6pm.  Items that are available include cleaning supplies, buckets, shovels, wheel barrows, water, food boxes, baby supply boxes, diapers, blankets, sheets, pillows, men and women’s underwear and socks and various other items.

Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to residents from the flooded areas. County guidelines require that we collect address and contact information with a valid ID.

The Wimberley Church of Christ also has some of these same supplies for distribution at their location, 15500 Ranch Rd 12, Wimberley, TX 78676.  Please contact them for distribution times and information at (512) 847-9357.

We are expecting a second truckload of supplies late next week, and we will send half of those supplies to Blanco to help in their relief efforts. Contact the Blanco Church of Christ after June 7th for distribution information.
