VETERANS DAY PARADE: Several streets will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 5 for the Veterans Day Parade from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Closed streets include; East Hopkins from Charles Austin to Guadalupe, San Antonio St. from Guadalupe to CM Allen, and Guadalupe, LBJ, Edward Gary and CM Allen between San Antonio St. and Hopkins.  BLANCO VISTA 5K: The Blanco Vista 5 K will be held on November 5 from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Event starts and ends at Blanco Vista Elementary School. Race will proceed along the following streets within the Blanco Vista subdivision; Old Settlers Hay Barn Street, Irvin Drive, Easton Drive, Trail Ridge Pass, Blanco Vista Blvd., Rail Head Drive, Silo St, Fence Line and Split Rail Drive. 100 E. HOPKINS: The “Kissing Alley” located off of the 100 block of E. Hopkins will be closed for a Wine Walk event on Friday, November 11 from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. City of San Marcos Main Street Program, 512.393.8430 Nov. 11 @ 3 p.m. Nov. 11 @ 9 p.m.

LP 82/CHARLES AUSTIN: Various night and day time closures will take place at east bound LP 82 west of Charles Austin and past Warden/Mill intersection for the installation of concrete barriers Nov. 2 – 4 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and on Nov. 4, during the day from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. TxDOT, 512.905.3097 Nov. 2 @ 8 p.m. Nov. 4 @ 4 p.m.
 JACKSON LANE: A mill and overlay project will begin on Jackson Lane on October 5 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting, for the exception of Saturday and Sunday. Please obey construction warning signs and flaggers and be observant of heavy equipment and workers on the street.

120 E. SAN ANTONIO ST: The alley located between Allstate and The Marc will be closed for bus parking during filming of Texas Music Scene on Nov. 11 – 12 from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. and. Omar Dawoud, 512.787.3771 Nov. 11 @ 6 a.m.  Nov. 12 @ 6 a.m.
MILL ST.: All lanes in both directions will be closed between Lockhart and Mill St. and Uhland and First St. on Nov. 1 – 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting, for street maintenance.  WARDEN/ZUNKER: A mill and overlay project will begin on Warden and Zunker St. on October 5 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting, for the exception of Saturday and Sunday. SESSOM DR: From N.LBJ to Aquarena Springs. There will be alternating multi-lane closures for overhead utility work associated with the Sessom Bike/Pedestrian project along Sessom. Daily closures will start on Oct. 24, 2016 and last through Jan. 1, 2017, weather permitting. There will be some occasional overnight lane closures required. 106 CHARLES AUSTIN DR: Due to the demolition of the Riverside Apartments, the parking lots serving them will be under construction Sept. 26 – Nov. 10. There are no road closures, but drivers are asked to be aware of construction zone. TXST, 512.245.2202 Sept. 26 Nov. 10
817 CHESTNUT ST: One lane will be closed for new construction to site through end of November. Street will continue to be passable to all traffic. J4 Development, 469.236.0922 Present End of November 
N LBJ:  From Holland St. to Camaro Way will be closed to through traffic until the Spring of 2017. Road closure will occur during daytime construction hours. City contractor will be replacing utility lines in the area. Through traffic including Emergency Vehicles, will be routed around the project limits; please follow the detours. WOODS ST: A segment of Woods St between Comanche and North Street will be closed during construction of the new Texas State University Engineering & Science Building beginning Monday, August 15 until August 2018. Project Manager Scott Rouse, 512.245.2202 Aug 15, 2016 August 2018
