Woman Accuses Man Of Sexual Assault In Downtown Bar

The investigation into an alleged sexual assault on the Dec. 6 is still ongoing. However, police did make an arrest on Dec. 24 in relation to the incident.

A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at a bar in downtown San Marcos.

An arrest report said the victim told police that she had been sexually assaulted early Dec. 6 while at the Green Parrot.

On Christmas Eve, police arrested Christian Clayton, 23, and charged him with the crime. He was released on a bond the same day.

According to the report, the woman told police she and Clayton were talking at the bar when he invited her to the back room to talk. A bartender allegedly allowed them to go where Clayton allegedly assaulted her.

The owner of the Green Parrot is cooperating with police.

The arrest report says Clayton originally denied being downtown on the night of the incident but later claimed that the woman forced herself on him. The name of the victim was not disclosed.
