Working, Working…..A Habitat for Humanity Partnership

Working, Working…..A Habitat for Humanity Partnership
 
Carpentry students from the Gary Job Corps are constructing A-frames for the construction of homes for the Habitat for Humanity in San Antonio, 32 A-frames are required for the construction of each home. 
 
Upon completion of the frames they will be transported to the building sites in San Antonio for the construction of the homes. 
 
Over the past 10 years the students from the Construction trades (cement, carpentry, electrical, air-conditioning, and plastering) have been active in projects from the building of the Community Center in Redwood, rehab of building at the Burke Center for Youth in Driftwood, numerous Habitat for Humanity homes in San Marcos.
 
These talented young carpenters also accomplished Classroom constructions for Hays/Caldwell County Drug and Alcohol Council in Lockhart, and numerous local building projects for non-profit agencies.
