Since 2015 Job Corps throughout the nation have participated in the Y2Y initiatives.
The Youth to Youth for Peace (Y2Y) program was designed by the National Job Corps Office to have all Job Corps Centers to participate in week long activities demonstrating to the community and student bodies the student service of the Job Corps Student Government Ambassadors.
The Gary Job Corps Student Government Association conducted student dances, fashion shows, student parade releasing balloons as a demonstration of peace, reading to students at Travis Elementary and delivering blankets to the residents of the Regent Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center San Marcos.
