The Zumper Austin Metro Area Report analyzed active listings last month across 6 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

The Texas one-bedroom median rent was $1,104 last month.

The Most Expensive

Austin & Georgetown tied for the most expensive city with one-bedrooms both priced at $1,550.

Cedar Park was the next priciest with rent at $1,460.

Pflugerville saw rent drop 0.7% to $1,460 and rank as third.

The Least Expensive

San Marcos ranked as the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,060.

Round Rock was second with rent at $1,400.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Round Rock had the fastest growing rent, up 34.6% since this time last year.

Austin was second with rent climbing 30.3%.

Pflugerville ranked third with rent increasing 30%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Georgetown had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 2%.
