San Marcos was ranked the 13th in the most expensive city to rent in the Austin Metro area.

The Zumper Austin Metro Report analyzes local active listings across 13 cities in the Austin metro area to show which cities have the most and least expensive rents and the cities where rent is growing fast.

Cities are ranked based on the median rent for one-bedroom apartments. For May 2018, Brushy Creek, Texas continued to hold the top spot as the most expensive city. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment runs around $1,180 a month.

San Marcos’s rent dropped $10 to $880 allowing it to hold its place at number 13 as the most affordable in the metro.
