183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of July 19

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.

Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Friday (7/16) 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., US 183 southbound main lanes will be reduced to one lane from Loyola to US 290.

LANE CLOSURE — 7/14/21 to 7/17/21 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Friday (7/14-7/16) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Northbound US 183 left main lane exit to Airport, westbound 7th, and Cesar Chavez will be closed.

Friday (7/16) 8 p.m. to 10 a.m., South to North U-turn will be closed at Levander Loop, and Levander Loop will be closed at US 183, detour via Airport Blvd. to south US 183 to Montopolis U-turn.

RAMP CLOSURE — 7/12/21 to 7/14/21 — PAVING
Friday (7/16) 8 p.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday (7/17) 6 p.m. to 10 a.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be closed at Manor Rd., detour via Tuscany Way to US 290 frontage road. South to North U-turn at Manor Springdale Rd. will be closed. US 183 north main lane exit to 290 frontage road will be closed, detour via Cameron Rd.

Sunday (7/18) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday-Thursday (7/19-7/22) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Southbound US 183 exit ramp to eastbound SH 71 towards the airport will be closed at US 183. Detour via E. Riverside Dr. U-turn.

RAMP CLOSURE — 7/18/21 to 7/20/21 — PAVING
Sunday (7/18) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday (7/19) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound main lane will be closed at SH 71 and Eastbound SH 71 to northbound US 183 cloverleaf will be closed at US 183. Detour Spirit of Texas U-turn.

RAMP CLOSURE — 7/19/21 to 7/23/21 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Monday-Thursday (7/19-7/22) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound main lane and general-purpose exit to Airport Blvd. will be closed at Montopolis Dr. Detour via US 183 northbound frontage road to U-turn at Boggy Creek to US 183 southbound.

Wednesday-Thursday (7/21-7/22) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US southbound frontage road on-ramp to Montopolis Dr. will be closed. Traffic to travel through signalized intersection at Montopolis to on-ramp just north of Patton.

Wednesday-Thursday (7/21-7/22) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 frontage road in both directions will be reduced to one lane from Loyola to US 290.
