Hays County reports 82% of COVID-related hospitalizations are unvaccinated

HAYS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, TX – Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports seven (7) new lab-confirmed cases along with two (2) new hospitalizations and four (4) new hospital discharges.

NOTE: HCLHD did not receive any data from Curative today. Any new positive labs and/or negative cases will be reflected in tomorrow’s update.

There are 152 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 26,947. The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 28,442. Hays County has 1,129 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 2,146 active cases. Hays County has had 1,294 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 38 people are currently hospitalized. Of those, 31 are unvaccinated, which is about 82 percent.
