Hays County reports four COVID-related fatalities

HAYS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, TX – Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports four (4) COVID-related fatalities: a San Marcos man in his 50s, a San Marcos man in his 80s, and two women from San Marcos in their 60s.

The department also reports 105 new lab-confirmed cases along with three (3) new hospitalizations and five (5) new hospital discharges. There are 21 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 28,551.

The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 29,513. Hays County has 569 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 817 active cases. Hays County has had 1,336 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 13 people are currently hospitalized. Of those, 11 (74%) are unvaccinated.

    8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m.
  • M-F, Walk-in Pfizer vaccine clinics @ CommuniCare, 2810 Dacy Ln., Kyle, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m.
