Hays County reports low COVID-19 case numbers & hospitalizations

HAYS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, TX – Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports 29 new lab-confirmed cases along with two (2) new hospitalizations and two (2) new hospital discharges. There are 30 additional persons considered recovered.
The total number of persons considered recovered is 28,352. The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 29,319. Hays County has 581 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 955 active cases. Hays County has had 1,330 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 18 people are currently hospitalized. Of those, 14 (78%) are unvaccinated.
Note, beginning Monday, Oct. 25, the Hays County Local Health Department will begin sending out one news release per week with COVID-19 numbers. The online COVID-19 dashboard is updated M-F and can be found on their website.
