Over 145,000 in Hays County and 17 million in Texas are fully vaccinated

HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS – In Hays County, 169,144 and over 78.56% of eligible people, and in Texas, over 78.21% or 21,091,476 people 5 years and older have received their initial dose of vaccine.
In addition, over 67.42% or 145,159 of Hays County 5 years and over, are fully vaccinated, and Texans in the same age groups, over 65.71% or 17,719,264 of Texans, are fully vaccinated.
Furthermore, in Hays County 60,125 and in Texas 6,955,830 have received a third dose (booster shot).
As vaccine distribution increases, more of the local Hays County and Texas population has received at least their first dose. Because of this, active case numbers and monthly COVID-19 related fatalities have decreased.
