Residents, visitors invited to Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival

SAN MARCOS – The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department will host Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival on Friday, Oct. 29 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at City Park, 170 Charles Austin Drive. The annual event will feature free carnival games, a variety of activities, and a children’s costume contest.

Admission to Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival is free, thanks to the support of generous sponsors and volunteers. A haunted trail train ride will be offered for $2, and concessions will be available for purchase.

Registration for the children’s costume contest is open and available at sanmarcostx.gov/farmerfreds. Pre-registered participants will be photographed during the event and winners will be selected virtually through a Facebook poll following the carnival. Prizes will be awarded in various categories including: Most Spooky, Most Creative, Most Funny, Most Fashionable, Facebook Favorite, Farmer Fred’s Choice, Best Group/Duo, Best Superhero, Best Villain, and Cutest Costume.
