San Marcos Police Department Seeks Community’s Help In Locating Suspect In Child Abuse Case

The San Marcos Police Department is asking for help in locating Richard Vincent Blythe (DOB 06/19/1999), who is wanted for Injury to a child/serious bodily injury. He is a white male, 5’6”, 200 lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. His last known address was in Kyle.

In November 2018, detectives were contacted by Dell Children’s hospital to investigate injury to a 9-month-old. During the medical evaluation, it was discovered that the child had skull fractures, broken ribs and several lacerations to the liver. Many of the injuries were in different stages of healing.

After two months of investigation and interviews with the mother, Child Protective Services, and doctors at Dell Children’s hospital, police issued a warrant for Blythe’s arrest.

This is the most recent photograph of Blythe, since the time of this photograph he may have grown facial hair.

Several attempts by law enforcement to locate Blythe have been unsuccessful and US Marshals are actively assisting in apprehending this fugitive.

The baby is still hospitalized. The mother of the child, Maudicello Cabello-Perez, was taken into custody by San Marcos Police on Thursday, Jan. 10, for abandoning/endangering a child by criminal negligence.
