Hays County Food Bank Calls On Residents To Amplify Hays County

Amplify Austin Day is I Live Here I Give Here’s annual event that brings Central Texas donors and nonprofits together in one 24-hour time period of giving.

Last year, more than $10 million was raised to assist 700 organizations. This year, I Live Here I Give Here hopes to raise even more.

Hays County Food Bank has participated in this event for the past four years, and hopes to engage even more donors this year.

  • $20 can provide up to 80 meals.
  • $30 can provide 10 students with healthy snacks through the Backpack Program.
  • $40 can fuel food transportation for one van for a week.

While giving can take place at anytime, donations given between6:00 PM on February 28  and 6:00 PM on March 1st qualify for matching funds and possible additional prizes.

Every organization receives matching dollars (on a pro-rata basis) provided by I Live Here I Give Here’s generous sponsors. Nonprofits also have the opportunity to win grand prizes and hourly prizes.

The more donations that a nonprofit organization receives on Amplify Austin Day, the more extra funds the nonprofit organization is awarded, providing extra operational funding to underwrite their community programming.

Donors have the power to help their causes secure those extra funds.
