The Zumper Austin Metro Area Report analyzed active listings last month across 6 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one-bedroom median rent was $1,083 last month.

The Most Expensive

Austin ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,550.

Georgetown was the second priciest with rent at $1,520.

Cedar Park saw rent drop 2.6% to $1,470 and rank as third.

The Least Expensive

San Marcos ranked as the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,070.

Round Rock was second with rent at $1,420.

Pflugerville rent increased 3.6% to $1,440 and ranked as third.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Round Rock had the fastest growing rent, up 29.1% since this time last year.

Georgetown was second with rent climbing 26.7%.

Austin ranked as third with rent increasing 26%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

Georgetown had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 4.8%.

Pflugerville climbed 3.6% last month, making it second.

Austin ranked as third with rent growing 2.6%.
