The Zumper Austin Metro Area Report analyzed active listings last month across 5 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.

The Texas one-bedroom median rent was $1,055 last month.

Austin ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,440.

Cedar Park was the second priciest with rent at $1,340.

Pflugerville saw rent jump 4.8% to $1,310 and rank as third.

San Marcos ranked as the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $970.

Round Rock was second with rent at $1,290.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

Round Rock had the fastest growing rent, up 24% since this time last year.

Pflugerville was second with rent climbing 23.6%.

Cedar Park ranked as third with rent increasing 14.5%.

Austin had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.1%.

Round Rock rent climbed 4.9% last month, making it second.

Pflugerville ranked as third with rent jumping 4.8%.
