Report: San Marcos rental market continues to be lowest in region
The Zumper Austin Metro Area Report analyzed active listings last month across 7 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one-bedroom median rent was $1,085 last month.
The Most Expensive
Georgetown ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,510.
Austin was the second priciest with rent at $1,480.
Cedar Park saw rent jump 5% to $1,480 and rank as third.

The Least Expensive
San Marcos ranked as the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,070.
Kyle was second with rent at $1,270.
Round Rock saw rent increase 3% to $1,380 and rank as third.
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
Cedar Park had the fastest growing rent, up 23.3% since this time last year.
Round Rock was second with rent climbing 23.2%.
Pflugerville ranked as third with rent increasing 23%.

Cedar Park had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5%.
Georgetown & San Marcos rents both climbed 4.9% last month, making them tied for second.
Round Rock ranked as third with rent jumping 3%.
