The 2018 Formula One United States Grand Prix will occur this weekend, October 19-21, at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

For transportation to the event, shuttles will depart from Palm Neighborhood Park located across the street from the Austin Convention Center near 3rd and Red River and drop off at one of two locations on-site at COTA.

Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from downtown to COTA during the following hours:

  • Friday, Oct. 19: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 20: 8 a.m. – midnight
  • Sunday, Oct. 21: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.

To accommodate the downtown shuttle, East Third Street from Red River Street to the I-35 Southbound frontage road will be closed throughout the weekend, and the north curb of East Fourth Street will be closed from the I-35 Northbound frontage road to Waller Street. A closure map and more information is available on CityStage.

People should expect significant delays and changes to traffic patterns in the area around Circuit of the Americas including on Highway 130, FM 812, FM 973, Pearce Lane and other local roads adjacent to the circuit. For traffic and other event-related updates, follow @austinmobility and @COTA on Twitter and Facebook.

To help passengers fly smoothly through F1, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is preparing with extra customer service representatives and special music performances to welcome fans and to provide an Austin-style send off after the race.

All passengers are advised to be in the Austin airport terminals two hours before departure time. Busiest days are expected on Sunday evening, Oct. 21 and Monday, Oct. 22, when airport traffic increases with post-race departing passengers.
