Gary Job Corps Participates In “Raise the Roof for Nicole’s Place” Fundraiser

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.

“Raise the Roof for Nicole’s Place” Fundraiser

The Austin 20 sponsored “Raise the Roof for Nicole’s Place” fundraiser held at the Austin County Club.  The Austin 20 supports organizations that assist children victimized by sex trafficking by filling the gaps in the continuum of available resources, they are a group of community leaders and activist who care passionately about their mission. 

They turn their convictions into action; today at the fundraising luncheon over $300,000 was raised.  Funds raised are for the construction of a facility to house the victims of human trafficking and the support services required.

The Gary Job Corps Center has assisted in the placement of the young women referred by the Austin 20 organization.
