Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building your sales team and implement a strategy for achievement of business development goals in line with companywide goals
  • Hire, train, motivate and lead 10+ person sales team
  • Manage team in developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts and new prospects
  • Develop, maintain and leverage relationships with local event planners
  • Strategize and assist in onsite and cross selling opportunities both sponsor and delegate
  • Work collaboratively with Publisher and Editor to implement new sponsorship packages and opportunities, create new products
  • Manage a continuous and consistent sales training program
  • Ensure compliance to processes and sales tools
  • Work with brand development team to develop new products and services that the team can sell to the existing clients and new prospects
  • Performance management of reps and support/create individual development plans/succession plans
  • Manage weekly/monthly sales reporting, roll-up forecasts and commission calculations
  • Ability to coach your reps on Value Selling and Subject Matter
  • Ability to forecast accurately
  • Work with Publisher and outside partners to develop sales tools for the sales team
  • Attend local events to create new relationships and execute sales strategy

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of high performance in sales, with experience and success in sales leadership within the events, conference or advertising sales industries
  • Consistent over achievement of sales quotas, both team and individually
  • Proven ability to understand enterprise wide issues and to structure innovative, integrated solutions for organizations to achieve their business goals
  • Understanding of technology buying center motivations
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate, leadership qualities
  • Commission Structure & Percentage: Higher then Industry Standard
