Buda PD Arrested Three On Burglary And Organized Criminal Activity

Early this morning at approximately 3:11am, while patrolling the Ashford Park neighborhood, one of our officers spotted a reported stolen vehicle in the area of Faircrest Drive. The suspect vehicle had been reported stolen in Buda earlier this week. While attempting to turn around to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle fled and ultimately came to a stop at Ashford Park Blvd and Winborne Way where three male suspects bailed out and fled on foot. Due to combined efforts of local law enforcement, all three individuals were located and detained.

The suspects have been identified as Jose Delamora, 17 years old from Austin, Kenneth Lee Jr., 17 years old from Austin, and one juvenile. The adults have been booked into the Hays County Jail and the juvenile was transported to Hays County Juvenile Detention Center. Each offender is facing multiple charges some of which include Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Burglary of a Vehicle, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. These were crimes being committed that were interrupted by the Buda Police Department officer this date. We believe the individuals may also be responsible for the multiple vehicle burglaries and thefts we have had in the past few weeks. Further investigation may result in additional charges.
