Texas Comptroller-Elect Glenn Hegar To Be sworn In Friday

Austin: Glenn Hegar will be sworn in as Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts on Friday, Jan. 2, in a ceremony in the Senate Chamber of the Texas Capitol.

Texas Gov.-elect Greg Abbott will administer the Oath of Office during the ceremony that begins at 1 p.m. Lt. Gov.-elect Dan Patrick is scheduled to deliver welcome remarks.

Hegar, who was the youngest member of the Texas Senate before leaving to become Texas Comptroller, is a sixth generation Texan who farms on land that has been in his family since the mid-1800s.
