I-35 CORRIDOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION
UPDATE FOR SUNDAY 12/2 – 12/8
I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed across William Cannon Dr. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 2 through Tuesday, December 4
- Various northbound I-35 frontage road closures between Boggy Creek Dr. and William Cannon Dr. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 2 through Tuesday, December 4 and 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, December 3 through Friday, December 7
- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Stassney Ln. and William Cannon Dr. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, December 3 through Friday, December 7
- William Cannon Dr closed across I-35. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 2 through Thursday, December 6

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

- Northbound I-35 left lane closed between Oltorf St. and the Woodland Ave. exit. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, December 3 through Tuesday, December 4
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Oltorf St. | 8 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, December 5 through Thursday, December 6
- Various northbound I-35 frontage road closures between Royal Hill Dr. and the Woodland Ave. exit. The Oltorf exit (#232) will also be closed. | 8 PM until 5 AM Thursday, December 6 through Friday, December 7

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

- Southbound I-35 rolling closures at St. Johns Avenue to set bridge beams. Ramps will also close. | Intermittently from 11 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, December 5
- I-35 left lane closed in both directions between US 290 E. and US 183. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 2 through Thursday, December 6
- Southbound I-35 U-turn bridge closed at US 183. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 2 through Thursday, December 6
- St. Johns Ave. reduced to one lane in both directions across I-35. | Beginning 9 PM Monday, December 3 until further notice

I-35 AT FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge. | Until summer 2018, weather permitting.

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT ACTIVITY | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hesters Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.
The northbound and southbound intersections of US 79 and the I-35 frontage roads are also being reconstructed to add a third left-turn for westbound US 79

- Eastbound McNeil Rd. closures between I-35 and Mays St. | 8 PM until 5 AM Thursday, December 6 through Friday, December 7

I-35 AT COUNTY ROAD 305
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the County Road 305 bridge and realign County Road 304 East to connect to the newly constructed bridge. Pedestrian enhancements will also be made within the project limits.
