Kyle PD Continue Investigating Fatality Accident

Kyle police report that an accident Thursday night involving three vehicles resulted in one fatality.

The accident occurred around 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, on the southbound I-35 access road at Burleson Road. Kyle police closed off the access road at City Lights Rd. and detoured traffic for several hours while they conducted their investigation of the crash.

What is known at this time is a 2013 grey Dodge Avenger driven by Jarred Brady Farmer, 22, of Buda, was traveling on the southbound access road of I-35 when it hit a grey 2014 Toyota Corrolla driven by Hallie Seabolt, 40, of Kyle, that was turning onto Burleson Rd. The Avenger then continued on to hit a third vehicle that was stopped at the Burleson Road stop sign waiting to enter the access road.

That vehicle at the stop sign was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger. The male driver in that car was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger was transported to Brackenridge Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Farmer was transferred to Brackenridge with unspecified Injuries. The driver of the second vehicle is reported to be uninjured.

Kyle police are not releasing any information about vehicle #3 at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

The accident remains under investigation. The Kyle Police Department plans to temporarily close the same portion of the roadway early next week to further the investigation.

When additional information is available, the city of Kyle will provide an update.

NOTE: This update corrects information in an earlier release that said the second vehicle hit the third vehicle. In fact, it was the first vehicle driven by Farmer that hit vehicle #3.
