Two Kidnapping Attempts Reported In New Braunfels

The New Braunfels Police Department has issued a public safety advisory after two recent aggravated kidnapping attempts.
 
According to NBPD, in both attempts a man flagged vehicles down and displayed a firearm after entering the vehicle. The suspect then instructed the drivers to continue driving.
 
The suspect is described as a thin, older, white male who is clean shaven and wore a red hoodie.
 
Investigators warn the public to avoid stopping their cars for anyone they do not know, especially anyone matching this description. They also advise the public to be aware of their parking sports and to park near well-lit areas.
 
Anyone with information regarding these events is asked to contact the New Braunfels Police Department or Comal County Crime Stoppers.
 
Comal County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment.
