New Event Series Offers Entrepreneurs Resources For Growth

Greater San Marcos Partnership Launches Free Programming Monthly for Existing Regional Businesses.

San Marcos, Texas – Eighty percent of new jobs are created by existing employers in a community, according to the Small Business Administration (SBA).

In an effort to support existing regional businesses, Greater San Marcos Partnership (GSMP) has created a new event series, BIZtalks, aimed at connecting business owners with resources to grow. Each month, a different topic important to businesses will be highlighted.

BIZtalks will launch on Wednesday, June 21, with featured speaker experienced entrepreneur George Steinke at the LBJ Museum, located at 131 N Guadalupe St, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“The Greater San Marcos region has a vibrant business community driven by innovation and passion,” said GSMP Existing Business Director Victor Garza. “GSMP wants to provide resources to our existing business owners of all sizes to help them access information to grow. We’re looking forward to this first event and want to encourage our business owners and leaders to come out.”

This is a free event and is open to the public. Interested attendees are asked to RSVP to Victor Garza at victorg@greatersanmarcostx.com. For interviews, please call (512) 393-3400.
