Traffic & Road Construction Update

 

HUNTER RD: The next phase of the Hunter Road widening project continues through mid-June 2015. Construction includes street widening and the installation of new water, wastewater and drainage pipe. Traffic will be one-way northbound on Hunter between Dixon and Bishop. Southbound traffic will detour at Bishop, Craddock and Wonder World. Residents along Hopkins south of Bishop will be able to access their homes by taking Bishop to Belvin and back to Hopkins. TxDOT, 512.393.8235

 

218 ROOSEVELT: There will be a one lane closure for a jamaica celebration May 22 and 23, 2015 from 6 – 11 p.m. Barricades and appropriate signage will be present. Guadalupe Jamaica, 512.396.0188

 

PICKARD STREET: All lanes in both directions will be closed from Russell Street to N. LBJ along the 100 block of Pickard Street for construction crane operations on May 18, 2015 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please pay attention to all appropriate signage and traffic control within the construction site. SESSOM AT COMANCHE: The right lane on E. Sessom at Comanche and the west bound lane turning left on Sessom and Comanche will be closed for milling work on May 18 through May 19, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Aaron Concrete Contractors, LP, 512.926.7326

 

Street maintenance will begin May 19, 2015 through June 19, 2015. Vehicles parked on the street may be towed at owners’ expense. Drive slowly, use caution on the work zone and obey all traffic control flaggers. The project will last 4-6 weeks, weather permitting. City of San Marcos Streets Division, 512.393.8036

 

1204 THORPE LANE: Northbound lane on Thorpe Lane will be closed for sidewalk construction on May 15, 2015 through June 5, 2015, weather permitting, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. 700-800 BLOCK OF N. LBJ STREET: Starting May 21, 2015, portions of the N. LBJ Bus loop will be under construction. One lane will remain open into campus from Sessom onto N. LBJ Dr. and one lane leaving campus on N. LBJ Dr. to Sessom. Vehicles will be able to access the Pleasant Street Garage as well as Pleasant Street. CHARLES AUSTIN DR: 100 block of Charles Austin Drive between Jowers and Aquarena Springs Drive will be closed in both directions for the Texas State University commencement ceremonies May 14 – 16, 2015 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Texas State University Police Dept., 512.245.6272

 

RR 12 AT CRADDOCK AVE: One lane closure on the eastbound shoulder of RR 12 for new water line extension May 14 through June 10, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with the exception of weekends. Street will be passable to regular traffic. P2MjG, 832.690.2572

 

 

NORTH LBJ AT YOUNGER: Reconstruction of N.LBJ will continue until end of June 2015 in conjunction with the N.LBJ reconstruction project for street, sidewalk, drainage, water and wastewater improvements.
