San Marcos Police, Marshals to Join Warrant Roundup

 

The San Marcos Police Department and the City Marshal’s Office are joining more than 300 law enforcement agencies across Texas for a warrant roundup beginning Saturday, March 5.

 

“This is an opportunity for residents who may have unpaid traffic citations or other active warrants to take action now and avoid a hold on your drivers license renewal or the embarrassment of arrest,” said Officer Tracy Balusek, San Marcos Deputy City Marshal.

 

The San Marcos Municipal Court website has a list of people with active warrants and a list of people who have unresolved cases needing immediate attention. To view lists visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/court.

 

The Law Firm of Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott LLP has been contracted with to assist with collections. All law firm contacts will direct defendants to the court for payments.

 

The Municipal Court accepts cash, checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, Visa, Master Card, and Discover. Individuals may make credit card payments directly to the court by phone during regular court hours, or 24/7 when paying in full online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/court (Please make note of the court bureau code# 3290449 for online payments.)

 

Those who mail in payments should include their driver’s license number and case or ticket number to ensure proper credit. Payments may be mailed to Municipal Court, City of San Marcos, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos, TX 78666.
