San Marcos Parks Will Host Babysitters Training Class, Spots Available

Representatives from the San Marcos Fire Department, Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas Inc., San Marcos Public Library, Texas State University, San Marcos Parks and Recreation, and Corridor Primary Care will present on a variety of topics.

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Services Division will host a Babysitters Training Class on Wednesday, June 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins.

Youth ages 12 and up are invited to participate in this free program. There is space for up to 30 participants.

Parents must check in their child upon arrival between 9-9:30 a.m. Light breakfast refreshments and afternoon snacks will be provided, but participants are asked to bring a lunch.

Representatives from the San Marcos Fire Department, Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas Inc., San Marcos Public Library, Texas State University, San Marcos Parks and Recreation, and Corridor Primary Care will present on a variety of topics. While this class is not Red Cross certified, it will provide participants with knowledge and skills for effective babysitting.
