Parks to Reopen following Storm Damage

Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – Jacob’s Well Natural Area, which has been closed since storms and floods hit the park in October, will reopen on January 2 at its regular winter season times of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. At that time, visitors can also begin making reservations online for swim time at the Natural Area, which will open for swimming in March.
 
Also on January 2, the eastern portion of Dudley Johnson Park at the Five Mile Dam Park complex on Old Stagecoach Trail will open. The western part of Dudley Johnson Park and all of Randall Vetter Park will remain closed pending repairs to damage caused by the October floods.
