Need To Know Road Closures For US 183
• Sunday (6/24) from 6 pm to 6 am, and Monday through Wednesday (6/25-27) from 8 pm to 6 am, there will be various closures of lanes along the northbound and southbound US 183 frontage roads. Officers will direct traffic as needed.
• Beginning after 9 am Monday, June 25, 2018, and lasting through Sunday, July 1, 2018, capacity on the MLK Jr., Blvd bridge will be temporarily reduced to one lane for eastbound traffic crossing over US 183. The lane reduction will extend from Tannehill Lane across US 183. In addition, one of the dual left turn lanes from southbound US 183 onto eastbound MLK Jr., Blvd will be closed.
• Monday through Wednesday (6/25-27) from 8 pm to 6 am, the US 183 southbound mainlanes will be closed by one lane between Thompson Lane to East Riverside Drive.
• Monday through Friday (6/25-29) from 8 pm to 6 am, the on ramp to US 183 southbound from MLK Jr., Blvd will be closed. Drivers will follow a signed detour via Tannehill Lane to TechniCenter Drive to access southbound US 183. Daytime drivers traveling from eastbound MLK Jr., Blvd to southbound US 183 are also encouraged to use this detour to avoid congestion at the MLK Jr., Blvd intersection due to the lane reduction.
• Monday through Friday (6/25-29) from 9 am to 4 pm, the US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced by one lane between Manor/Springdale Road and US 290.
• Thursday (6/28) from 8 pm to 6 am, the southbound US 183 exit to MLK Jr., Blvd will be closed. Follow the signed detour by exiting early for 51st Street.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
According to their website, their mission is “to implement innovative, multi-modal transportation solutions that reduce congestion and create transportation choices that enhance quality of life and economic vitality.”
The Mobility Authority was created and operates under the Texas Transportation Code Chapter 370 and is authorized under state law to implement a wide range of transportation systems including roadways, airports, seaports and transit services.
The Mobility Authority is authorized to issue revenue bonds to fund projects and can utilize user fees and/or taxes to fund operations and repay bonds.
