San Marcos Educator Recognized by U.S. Dept of Education

San Marcos CISD educator, Sara Torres, learned last week that she has been chosen as a featured teacher for the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, U.S. Department of Education. Torres, a teacher at Travis Elementary, was nominated by Texas State University professor Dr. Laura Rodriguez. She was the 2014 Travis Teacher of the Year.
