Fall is here, and it’s time to celebrate at the annual Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival. The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department invites community members and visitors of all ages to join them on Friday, Oct. 26, from 6-9 p.m. at City Park, 170 Charles Austin Drive.

This beloved community tradition is free to the public thanks to the support of generous sponsors and volunteers. Featuring free carnival games, a variety of activities and a children’s costume contest, the Fall Carnival is fun for the entire community. There will be a haunted hayride for $1, along with train rides and concessions for a small price.

The children’s costume contest registration will be held at the basketball court from 6-6:45 p.m. The judging times are divided into the following age groups:

  • 3 and under – 7 p.m.
  • 4-6 years old – 7:30 p.m.
  • 7-9 years old – 8 p.m.
  • 10-12 years old – 8:30 p.m.

Special thanks go to our sponsors for their support and assistance in making this event possible.
