183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of January 24

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in Austin.

Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

US 183 Short Term Closures & Detours
*Dates are subject to change based on weather and other circumstances.

SHORT TERM

LANE CLOSURE — 1/22/22 to 1/24/22 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Saturday (1/22) 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday (1/24) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., southbound 183 Toll/US 183 left lane will be closed between Vargas Rd. and Patton Ave.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/22/22 to 1/24/22 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Saturday (1/22) 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday (1/24) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound bypass at MLK Blvd. the left lane will be closed.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/24/22 to 1/25/22 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Tuesday (1/24-25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound US 183 left mainlane will be closed at SH 71.

LANE CLOSURE — 1/27/22 to 1/28/22 — UTILITY WORK
Thursday (1/27) 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Flagging operations at the intersection of Montopolis Dr. and US 183 general purpose lanes for signal work.
