183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of July 26

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.

Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Sunday (7/25) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday (7/26) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., South to North U-turn will be closed at Levander Loop, and Levander Loop will be closed, detour via Airport Blvd. to south US 183 to Montopolis U-turn

RAMP CLOSURE — 7/25/21 to 7/26/21 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Sunday (7/25) 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., Eastbound SH 71 to Northbound US 183 Toll connector will be closed. Detour Eastbound SH 71 main lane to northbound US 183 cloverleaf.

RAMP CLOSURE — 7/25/21 to 7/27/21 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Sunday (7/25) 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday (7/26) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound main lane will be reduced to one lane at Montopolis Dr. and exit to Airport Blvd. will be closed at Montopolis Dr. Detour via US 183 northbound frontage road to U-turn at Boggy Creek to US 183 southbound.

Monday-Friday (7/26-7/30) 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mobile Ops: US 183 southbound one main lane will be closed from US 290 to SH 71.

Monday (7/26) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be closed at Manor Rd., detour via Tuscany Way to US 290 frontage road. South to North U-turn at Manor Springdale Rd. will be closed. US 183 north main lane exit to 290 frontage road will be closed, detour via Cameron Rd.

RAMP CLOSURE — 7/26/21 to 7/30/21 — EXCAVATION
Sunday (7/25) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday-Thursday (7/26-7/29) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the southbound US 183 exit ramp to eastbound SH 71 towards the airport will be closed at US 183. Detour via E. Riverside Dr. U-turn

RAMP CLOSURE — 7/27/21 to 7/30/21 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Tuesday-Thursday (7/27-7/29) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound main lane will be closed at SH 71. Eastbound SH 71 to northbound US 183 cloverleaf will be closed. Detour Spirit of Texas Dr. U-turn.

LANE CLOSURE — 7/29/21 to 8/1/21 — PAVING
Thursday (7/29) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Friday (7/30) at 8 p.m. until Sunday (8/1) at 6 p.m., US 183 northbound general-purpose on-ramp at Purple Sage will be reduced to one lane.

LANE CLOSURE — 7/29/21 to 8/1/21 — PAVING
Thursday (7/29) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Friday (7/30) at 8 p.m. until Sunday (8/1) at 6 p.m., Eastbound MLK Blvd. right lane will be closed at US 183 and US 183 south left frontage lane will be closed at MLK Blvd.

DETOUR — 5/24/21 to 7/31/21 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
U-turns north of Boggy Creek closed for barrier repairs. Detour to U-turns at MLK and Levander Loop.
