SMPD Seeks Suspect Who Sexually Assaulted Woman At Gunpoint

The San Marcos Police Department is searching for a man they believe broke into a woman’s apartment, threatened her with a handgun and then sexually assaulted her.

On Thursday, April 24,  the victim arrived at the San Marcos Police Department and reported that she was a victim of sexual assault. An investigation determined the offense occurred at the victim’s apartment at the Capstone Cottages of San Marcos, 1415 Craddock Avenue.

The victim tells police she arrived at her apartment around 3:45 PM on Wednesday where she found an unknown assailant hiding in her bedroom. She says the unknown suspect threatened her with a handgun and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s with an athletic build, approximately six feet tall and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, black socks, black slide sandals, and a mask covering the lower half of his face.
