56.68% Of Hays County Registered Voters Have Participated In Early Voting

David LeDoux

Voters have headed to the polls in record numbers across Hays County and U.S. for what seems like a never-ending battle for power and control. By the time the polls closed on Wednesday, 86,637 or 56.68% of Hays County registered voters have participated in early voting.

In the 2016 general election, a total of 73,589 Hays County voters cast their ballots for early voting and election day. The total amount of Texans that voted in 2016 were 8,562,915, with Trump winning the popular by 807,179 total votes.

Texas has a total of 16,955,519 registered voters and as of Wednesday, 8,449,858 have already voted during early voting (in-person: 7,543,086 and mail-in-ballots: 906,772).

And both parties are preaching; this is “the most important election in our lifetime.”

The Democrats and Republicans are throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, at each other to win local, county, state, and national seats for more control and power.

Every year it seems like election seasons start earlier and last longer, and to be blatantly honest with our readers…this journalist is looking forward to this election year to be over.

Corridor News brings voters the early voting turnout totals for this year’s three weeks of Early Voting leading up to Election Day.

This year early voting runs through Friday, October 30, with election day on Tuesday, November 3, in Hays County.

Because Texas State University’s LBJ Student Center, an on-campus voting location in the past, cannot be used this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, university officials offered its Performing Arts Center (PAC) as an alternate location for on-campus voting this year.

Hays County has five super voting centers; Super Voting Centers have 24 machines, two check-in lines, and double the staff to help move larger volumes of voters.

  1. … and by voting early, many have chosen to sell us out to Russia and China through JOE BIDEN’S COLLUSION. Worsening it, some district are actually allowing voters to change their mail-in ballots. Thereby creating an even greater cluster much like the “chads” of 2000.

All this election has done is PROVE we need to restrict mail-in & absentee voting to those with verifiable needs. Everyone else can report to their local polling place on election day. So many issues would immediately evaporate, fraud being a primary example.

    1. gawd trollman you almost fell outta your chair tellin us that one, i didn’t get an offer to sell, an be careful cause somma them commies around Vladivostok they look kinda asian

      1. I’ll admit it. I voted early, yesterday. I voted because its important and I want to ensure my vote gets counted. I also waited until I was no longer comfortable doing so. Say I eat an infected Jolly Rancher & get a mild fever. But I went into the booth with as much info as I could muster. … AND YET, I still find more.

Last night, I learned that Joe Biden has used his dead wife & daughter and another family’s dead father as political pawns to elevate himself. I encourage you to look into the sad case of Curtis Dunn. The man that tried to save Joe’s wife & daughter following an car accident. Mr. Dunn was driving an truck when Joe’s wife, Neilia, swerved into him. No charges were filed and the Judge confirmed alcohol was not a factor.

But, 30 years later when the Curtis family informed Joe that their father had passed, Joe immediately started calling Mr. Curtis a drunk. Saying he preferred to “drink is lunch.” Its shameful. — So if you haven’t voted yet, but believe character matters, I’d suggest you look elsewhere. Sleepy-Creepy-Dopey-Lying-Hiding Unkie Joe is not your candidate.

      2. I think you’re drunk. Probably time that would have been better spent studying or writing a paper. That way you wouldn’t have been tempted by those nasty little Ctrl-functions.
