Four Rivers Association of Realtors / Austin Board of Realtors Partner To Expand Options For Homebuyers
Four Rivers Association of REALTORS®, Austin Board of REALTORS® launch ‘key reciprocity’ program to provide greater property access for Central Texas homebuyers.
The Four Rivers Association of REALTORS® (FRAR) and Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) have partnered in a ‘key reciprocity’ program to allow Central Texas homebuyers greater access to listings across the region. Starting this month, REALTOR® members in both associations will be able to show properties in either membership area.
Barb Cooper, 2015 President of the Austin Board of REALTORS®, said, “The Central Texas housing market moves rapidly, so it’s important that REALTORS® are able to show listings throughout the region quickly and easily. We’re excited to partner with the Four Rivers Association of REALTORS® to provide this new benefit for members and Austin-area homebuyers.”
Typically, homes for sale are secured with a coded lockbox containing the key to access the home, allowing REALTORS® to show a home in his or her membership area without the seller’s agent having to be present. When a REALTOR® needs to show a home outside his or her membership area, arrangements must be made with the seller’s agent ahead of time to view the property.
Through the key reciprocity program, Four Rivers REALTORS® will now have access to properties in the Austin area and Austin REALTORS® will have access to listings in Caldwell, Comal, Gonzales, Guadalupe, and Hays counties. Both associations share the same lockbox technology, which makes the partnership possible.
